I ran the Miami Marathon  Sunday, January 25th in honor of my friend Gee Walker , who passed away on November 26, 2014. The last time we spoke he told me that he wanted to organize a charity run from Florida to California. I felt the least I could do is run 26.2 miles for him.

When you feel like giving up, just remember the reason why you held on for so long.

The last couple miles were extremely difficult and as my body was breaking down, I knew that Gee was right beside, me helping me reach the finish line. RIP Gee. You are gone from this earth, but definitely not forgotten. So if anyone out there is ever thinking about suicide, just know that there are people that love you, and you can always ask for help in times of need.
